Stories From The Head

The Ceramic Tiger

All Modonon wanted was: A ceramic tiger. If someone were to give Modonon a ceramic tiger, he would thank them and spend most of his time taking care of the ceramic tiger. A neighbour of Modonon decided to stop by. “Great tiger, Modonon”, said to Modonon. “It’s a CERAMIC tiger” Modonon replied. “Of course you are”, the neighbour, quite inexplicably whispered. Some friends of the neighbour came driving up Modonon’s driveway in an aluminium salmon. “HEY, MODONON! GIVE US YOUR CERAMIC TIGER!” they shouted. Modonon gave them the ceramic tiger. It was shinier than ever. The neighbour swiftly jumped into the aluminium salmon, and they drove off, leaving Modonon all alone. Having never been alone, Modonon immediately started painting his own torso. He wanted one thing, and one thing only: A ceramic panther…
