Murrekatt’s Choice Murrekatt could never grasp the concept of happiness. His “thing” usually gave him a hard time when his head thought it was having fun, so Murrekatt frequently had to leave the country. This ritual made it hard for Murrekatt to make friends (as he was constantly happy, his “thing” always acted up, and he would, of course, have to move). A great wise man called Hovedmongo told Murrekatt he had two (2) choices:
Murrekatt chose number 7, to the great annoyance of Hovedmongo, who was later exposed as a large moving van, and not a wise man at all. Pæls, who had been following Murrekatt’s movements for a while now, was dying to find out what choice # 7 would do to Murrekatt’s existence. He called his sister, Oddvar, who was a librarian, and together they travelled to a distant continent to recover the lost “Book Of Choices”, which was written by Hovedmongo, the incredible writing moving van. (Pæls and Oddvar later realized that it would have been much easier just asking Murrekatt what choice # 7 was, seeing as they were both killed by giant koala-bears trying to recover the lost “Book Of Choices”). Anyway, back in the city of Superkrutt, Murrekatt performed choice # 7 (carefully filling a glass of water, WITHOUT the aid of the military), and it had no effect. Three years later, he amputated BOTH his “thing” AND his other, more interesting “object”. He died an amazingly happy, but severely crippled young man. The lost “Book Of Choices” was never found... |
