Stories From The Head |
Loneliness Ramp was lonely. ”I’M LONELY!”, she cried. Her only friend was a young actor known as ”The Caretaker”, though his real name was Jæbbi. The problem was that Jæbbi wasn’t aware of this deep friendship. Everything about him tickled Ramp’s wonderfully developed imagination (just like an old gold-shelled dragon closing in for the kill...but that’s just a strange worn-out metaphor, and it offered no REAL comfort for the simple diseased mind of a young feka like Ramp). She lived alone in an enormous shed. Alone, that is, is a wide concept. Ramp KNEW this, and that...was the essence of her problems, according to her only lover (a doctor called Sennep). Back to the story: She sat in the window hoping Jæbbi would take notice of her. Suddenly she screamed so loud that no words could be understood. Jæbbi, or ”The Caretaker”, stopped mowing the lawn (he had no lawnmower, so it really made no difference), but he didn’t look at her. He just smiled. A smile so bright and full of emotion that the clouds couldn’t keep the sun out of Ramp’s (or her father, Kilpe’s) heart. Even though it didn’t last long, it felt like ages for Ramp... |
