Stories From The Head |
Birth Of A Father Alal reacted immediately when he received the news about his father’s birth. He put the tie, which he had bought for his father, in a non-transparent plastic-bag, got into his vehicle and rushed of to the hospital. When he arrived, a nurse told him to wait outside a huge window, and soon the nurse appeared on the other side, holding Alal’s infant father. Alal was moved... and as the years flew by, he would never forget this first meeting with his father, or Leppespræng, as he would later name him. After a few days, Alal was allowed to bring his little father back to his house, in which they (Alal and his father, or Leppespræng, as he would later name him) would learn to know each other. Alal cooked, did the shopping, cleaned the house and did all sorts of household chores to please his infant father, and time flew by... One day, when Alal got out bed, he was sure he could feel the smell of eggs and bacon coming from the kitchen. "Oh, dear! Did I forget to turn off the gas last night?", was his immediate response. He ran out in the kitchen, only to be met by the humming of his father: "Ratossa...hmmmhmmm...mufappo...hmmmhmmm...komsa lurty sagunning hmmmhmmmm...løpløp tussah kapersokkol...hmmmhmmm". Alal could not believe his own eyes: HIS FATHER HAD BECOME MATURE! Leppespræng turned to Alal: "Well, son! Caught a good night’s sleep, did you...?" This was it: He no longer had any responsibility for Leppespræng - his father was finally ready to enter the adult world. But, they had had a great time together, there was no way Alal could gloss over that. Some day, Leppespræng too would have a father for whom he would be obliged to take responsibility...Some day... |
